Appointments & What to Expect

Q: What should I expect from my initial nutrition visit?
During your first session, I’ll get to know you — your health history, eating habits, lifestyle, and goals. We’ll talk about any challenges you’re facing and what you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan with realistic steps that fit your needs.

Q: What should I expect at my follow-up visits?
We’ll check in on your progress, celebrate your wins, work through challenges, and adjust your plan as needed. I’ll provide ongoing guidance and accountability to help you reach your goals.

Q: Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes, I offer virtual appointments every weekday from 8:00-5:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Friday and

8:30-7:30 on Wednesday and Thursday.

Pricing & Payment

Q: What is the cost of the visits when using in network insurance?  Most plans have a $0 out of pocket cost.

Q: What are your rates for self-pay?

Initial visit (1 hour): $200

Follow-up (1 hour): $125

Follow-up (45 minutes): $100

Insurance & Referrals

Q: Are my visits covered by insurance?
I’m in-network with Anthem Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Cigna, and Aetna. Most plans cover nutrition counseling in full when billed under preventive care. Contact your insurance company to confirm coverage for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and the number of visits allowed.

Q: Do I need a referral?
Yes — I require a referral from your primary care provider at least 24 hours before your first visit. Even if your insurance doesn’t usually require one, it helps ensure coverage and gives me important medical background.

Scheduling & Policies

Q:  How do I schedule an appointment?

Click on any of the book now buttons on the website. This will bringing you to a page to fill out all the pertinent information to schedule an appointment and give you a choice of available dates and times.

 

How do I reschedule an appointment?
Use the link at the bottom of your appointment confirmation email to reschedule. Please do so at least 48 hours in advance to avoid fees.
